for me, photography is a way to worship life. my photography reflects my belief that truth, beauty, and meaning can be found in the ordinary. i’m a devout practitioner of the art of paying attention.

to worship life is to worship the earth we inhabit. much of my work explores the relationship between the natural world and the manmade, and between humans and other forms of nature.

my work is anthropological and documentary. even while engaging in commercial work, i seek to capture small, often overlooked moments and minor details.

i shoot primarily on film. i enjoy the creative limitation of the process and the look and feel of photos that result.
