archetypes have been around since humans started communicating. they represent innately human qualities and universal, impersonal patterns of influence that inspire us and live within us.
archetypes can be thought of as character types.
swiss psychologist carl jung believed archetypes provide the foundation for our personality, our drives, our feelings, our beliefs, our motivations, and our actions.
i believe we’re each made up of a combination of multiple different archetypes.
knowing which archetypes you feel called to embody can help you to accept and understand:
yourself
your path
your desires
what will make you feel most fulfilled in this lifetime
the tarot can help to identify your archetypes ꩜ ‧°.

what is
the tarot?
the tarot is a tool for achieving self-knowledge.
the tarot is a tool of encouragement.
the tarot of today is philosophical and psychological information system and a passed-down-through-human-history storytelling device that provides guidance on how to navigate the human experience with awareness and grace.
it utilizes the universal language of symbolism and its themes speak to the totality of human existence—everything we experience as humans on earth, including the hereditary and societal belief structures of western culture.
the major arcana archetypes—the primary focus of an archetypal tarot reading—tell the story of the human experience, from being taught how to be in society, to searching inward to find out who one really is, to the journey towards self-actualization and unity with the forces of life itself.
